This was the second book by Jeff Gunhus that I have ever read, and I have to say, I really enjoy his writing style. When you read one of his books, you are there with the characters, and you are in on the action. The way that he builds suspense is magical. The emotional pull on your mind and your heart is something that you only find with the best writers. Killer Pursuit is another great example of how Jeff can create a world around his characters that is almost too real to be comfortable.
When a call girl is found murdered in her home, the investigators notice that there are cameras in her bedroom. One of them has nothing on it, and the other one has a live stream going to someone else’s computer. Someone knows she died, and someone knows who did it, but the investigators have no idea who is no the other side of that camera.
When Allison McNeil is asked to take over the case, she is bound and determined to figure out who the murderer is, and what happened with that other tape. Though, she may get more than she bargained for when she realizes that her life may be on the line, and it may be at the hands of the killer that murdered the call girl.
The suspense in this book is literally heart pounding! I really enjoyed reading this novel, and this book has sealed the deal on me becoming a Jeff Gunhus fan. His work has not disappointed me yet, and I can’t wait to read more from him. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.
