Insecurity Detox

What I really like about this book is that it is a completely different type of detox than I have been used to hearing and reading about before. Usually when I read books about detoxing, the author is talking about removing chemicals, toxins, and other physical things from your body-but this book Insecurity Detox by Trish Blackwell has a completely different take on what it means to detox your mind, body and spirit. According to Blackwell, in order to detox all three, we need to bring more Christ into our lives, and we need to do more than just remove physical things from our lives.

What I really like about this book is that it doesn’t have a specific time frame and you can basically work at the tips your entire life if you want to, or you could do it in a month if that’s what you choose to do. Each chapter showcases a different detox and how we can detox our mind and spirit by using the tips in the book. These tips can help us to become more secure in who we are as individuals as well as children of God. I think that the tips that are offered in this book can help anyone who even feels a little bit out of sorts.

Here is an example of some of the tips that you can find in the book:

Detox #8-The Ordinary

“There is greatness in you, and it is up to you to step up and take on the challenge of living life to it’s fullest”.

With in this chapter there are 3 different types of detoxes:

Physical-Gallon Challenge which is basically a water challenge.

Mental-Rewriting your potential which is basically giving yourself new words to describe who you are, and how you want your day to go.

Spiritual-God it good which is basically telling yourself that you are good enough.

This is just one example and one tiny portion of all of the good things that are in this book. Even if you are just a little bit insecure about yourself, you can find something in this book that will help you in your life. I loved this book, and can’t wait to share it with other people! I give it 5 out of 5 stars. I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
