Perfect Weddings

Romantic comedies in book form are my new favorite obsession, at least if they are written by Lynda Renham. She is seriously one of the most laugh out loud funny authors that I have come to love! Perfect Weddings is a great summer read, and I know that if you like books like The Shopaholic series or anything by Emily Giffin, this book will be right up your alley!

Amy is ready to marry the man of her dreams, except when she gets to the church he’s no where to be found. He’s not showing up, and now Amy doesn’t know what she is going to do. She decides that day she is going to try and win him back any way that she can, she feels that he left her because she was fat. Now she vows to get her life back on track and get the man of her dreams!

Though Amy is heartbroken, she decides that giving other people their dream weddings will sort of help her in the fact that she didn’t get her happily ever after. Until the day when Georgina shows up in her life. It turns out Georgina is going to marry the man that left Amy all those years ago!

Now she has to figure out how she is going to create a wonderful wedding for Georgina, while simultaneously having a existential crisis over the groom at the wedding. Amy may have other things on her mind, and Georgina’s wedding may be anything but perfect!

This book was just down right hilarious, I love how Amy gets herself into the most awkward situations, and has to figure out how to get herself out. The characters are all very real, funny, and have good hearts. Wedding season is coming up, and I think this book is the perfect summer read! I give this 5 out of 5 stars. I was given this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.
