Never Let You Go

I believe this is the second or third Chevy Stevens book that I’ve read and reviewed, Never Let You Go is a new release, coming out in March of 2017, and I have to say although I did like this book, it wasn’t up to par with what I have read from her in the past.

Lindsey left her abusive marriage many years ago, taking her daughter with her. After her ex husband killed a woman while drunk driving she has lived a semi-safe life knowing that  he is behind bars and cannot torture her anymore. Now that Andrew, her ex, has been let out of prison, hell has started all over for Lindsey and her daughter.

First, she thinks someone has been watching her, then things start disappearing and her dog has been poisoned. This cannot be coincidence, and Lindsey knows it’s her ex, even though she has tried so hard to make sure that all ties have been cut. When her boyfriend gets seriously injured, Lindsey and her daughter know that things have gone too far, and it’s time to flee once again.

Then the unthinkable happens, and Lindsey’s world gets knocked upside down, everything that she thought she knew may not be right, and the people she kept closest to her may no longer be safe. This story will have your blood pumping like a good Lifetime movie, but you will also be a little disappointed at how predictable the ending comes to be.

Like I said, I liked this book, but it wasn’t over the top awesome or something that I really want to shout from the rooftops. It was enjoyable to read, and the characters are perfectly developed, but I wish the twist was a little less obvious and the ending wasn’t as predictable. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars still, definitely something to give you the thrill you may be asking for. I received this book from Netgalley.
