A creatively written, daily devotional for mothers on the brink of a mental breakdown. I know we all have been there, moms, we just need a break from the crazy that has become our lives. The kids running around all day, non stop talking, the baby crying just when you sit down to eat a hot plate of food (what does hot food taste like anyway?) all of these things that we go through every day make us weary, tired, and let’s face it, not our best selves. Lord, Have Mercy by Ellen Miller gets it, and gets it right.
The book will give you the motivation to keep going. Each section is a day in your life. From day 1 to day 90. That’s three months of beautiful scripture, wonderful advice, and funny anecdotes that are just for us moms.
With every page, I felt more and more like I wasn’t alone. Sometimes being a mom can be very isolating and make you feel like you are the only one in the world that may be overwhelmed and want to scream, but this book really puts into perspective all that us moms (and dads) go through each and every day with our children. We love them, but they may drive us crazy. This book will show you how to stay calm, cool, and collected in the face of the craziness.
This was such a good book, it was very fun to read, because it was funny as well as informative. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars, it is a spiritual book, but it’s not too heavy on religion.
