Principal Sam-Kid’s Books

There’s something quite endearing about Principal Sam, he’s so oblivious to everything around him, and it’s adorable. In Principal Sam and the Calendar Confusion by Paul Semendinger, Ed. D. Principal Sam can’t remember what holiday it is, so he dresses for whatever holiday he believes it to be. He may think it’s Thanksgiving when it’s actually Valentine’s Day, or he may think it’s the Fourth of July when it’s really St. Patrick’s Day, you never know with Principal Sam.

While reading this book, I just had to chuckle. Honestly, it was just so cute. My son and I got a kick out of how silly Principal Sam was, and since my son is going to school soon, it started a great conversation about the adults he will meet at his school, so that was an added bonus.

The illustrations were very neat and well put together, I loved the vibrant colors and the way it almost looked like a cartoon that you would see in a newspaper. I was definitely not disappointed with this hilarious tale. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

The next book is just as amazing. After eating too much Halloween candy, Principal Sam thinks it may be time to get back into shape. In Principal Sam Gets Fit! by Paul Semendinger Ed.D. Principal Sam joins the sports teams at school.

Just like in the first book, Principal Sam gets all mixed up about what type of uniform he should wear for specific sports. I wonder how Principal Sam gets himself dressed in the morning! He really is a goofy guy.

Even though Principal Sam always gets a little mixed up, the kids at his school love him, and my son definitely enjoyed hearing about his antics. One of my favorite parts of this book was the picture of Principal Sam stepping onto the scale, and it says “uh oh”, so clever.

These books are just perfect for school aged kids, I loved them both! I give this one 5 out of 5 stars as well, thank you to the author for sending them both to me. I know that my son and I will read this often.
