In the vain of You by Caroline Kepnes, Crazy Love by Rachael Tamayo takes obsession and turns it into an eery and violent narrative that will have the hairs on the back of your neck standing on edge.
Emily works at CVS, and she’s pretty oblivious to the fact that Noah, a regular customer, is into her way more than he lets on. He comes to visit he at work quite often, but she doesn’t realize that he stalks her at home as well. He wants to know everything about her, because he’s positive that they are meant to be together.
When Emily hooks up with a former flame, Isaiah, things start to get tricky for Noah. First of all, how could Emily betray him like that? Can’t she see that all he wants to do is make her happy? Second of all, Isaiah keeps getting in the way. There’s only one solution to this problem, and that solution results in one person’s happiness, Noah’s.
Told from multiple perspectives, this story will give you the creeps. It’s perfect for this time of year, at least in my opinion, I love getting spooked out around Halloween. Though, there is never a time that I want a stalker. One thing that I didn’t like about this book, was the format, which is of no fault of the author, it was hard to read, but I am not going to base my rating on that. The content of the story was amazing, you really get a feel for how twisted Noah is, and you can almost feel the sleezeball oozing from his pores. There are going to be many times when you want to grab Emily and tell her to run, and that’s what makes this such a good book. I give this one 5 out of 5 stars, thank you to the author for sending it to me!
